How do glasses get so dirty?
This entry was posted on January 9, 2008
I’ve needed glasses since I was thirteen years old, and when I was sixteen my optician told me I needed to wear them all the time. I tried out contact lenses but they freaked me out beyond words. It’s not natural to have something sitting on top of your eyeball all day, I tell you!
That gave me only one optionĀ : glasses. I have two pairs actually (they had a sale on - buy one get one free). One pairĀ are black and plastic, some would say in the “emo” style. The other pair are purple and metal, more “sophisticated” than the black ones.
I’ve noticed that no matter what I do, no matter how far away I keep my greasy fingerprints, my glasses get disgustingly dirty. No amount of wiping them on my jumper, wiping them with a lint-free cloth, or wiping them with lens-cleaner seems to make the grubby bits disappear.
Tell me I’m not the only one with that problem!
