Bands I want to see live
This entry was posted on July 29, 2008
I love live shows. I’ve been to something like seven so far this year (I don’t exactly keep count) and I can think of at least another four I’m going to before Christmas.
There are several bands I’ve ticked off my “list of people I want to see live” recently, but there are still a few more bands I want to get out and see.
I really disliked these guys at first because their debut single was constantly overplayed on the radio. But since I heard “that song from the Toyata advert”, I’ve kind of fallen for them.
A great Canadian band I loved from the first time I heard them. I love them so much, in fact, that when I call my best friend’s mobile, the ringtone she has assigned me is Billy Talent. Technically I’ve already seen them, but that was as part of a festival. I want to see them on their own headline tour.
These are another band that do “that song from that advert”. I really need to buy their new album. Maybe I’ll do that when I have some money and am near a shop that sells CDs. Living out here in the sticks doesn’t go well with my musical tastes.
The third British band on my list. I’m really glad with how our local music scene is doing recently. Between us and the Canadians, there are some great bands out there. It’s impossible for me to pick my favourite song by the Hoosiers, they’re all so good!

I haven’t heard of any of these.
Are they UK bands? Although, I don’t know why that would matter, since I know dozens of European musicians.
I would like to see BT. I’ve stood in the same room as them, why shouldn’t I see them play!?! I haven’t really heard the other bands. My friend is going to see NIN tonight, and asked if I wanted to go because her friend had a spare ticket, but I only know one of their songs, so I opted out.
I go to a lot of live music shows as well, but to a lot of bands that you probably haven’t heard of. That’s probably because I adore smaller gigs, and international pop stars don’t do those anymore (i.e. how SP plays in a small venue in England, and a huge stadium in Canada.
).
You and I are definitely different when it comes to our musical tastes, as I don’t really care for those bands - at all! Hopefully you’ll get to see them live.
I’m finally getting to see Goldfrapp (my absolute favourite band) live in September and I’m sure it will be worth my wait.
I saw Billy Talent once, but I was WAYYYY at the back, so I didn’t really get to enjoy the experience. However, I would love to see The Feeling live!
I haven’t heard of any of those bands :/
Concerts are great though, I hope you get to see one of them…maybe you could rob a few banks or something xP
Is it bad that I’ve only heard of the Hoosiers?
>.<
I would LOVE to see all those bands live. You have good taist ![]()
I’m going to see Avenged Sevenfold in September…
I like the Hoosiers but you can’t help but feel once you’ve heard one of their songs, you’ve heard them all.
Reply: Yeah… a lot of them are very “same-y”, but fortunately, they’re all quite good!
Billy Talent is absolutely amazing live, end of discussion. One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live in my life, and they’re pretty cool guys too. I got to meet them! ![]()
I would start jumping up and down saying that you should go see both The Feeling and The Hoosiers immediately because they are amazing live, but unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to see them yet. =P Have you heard the whole of their song ‘Join With Us’ (the one on the Toyota advert)? Some people say they only like it for the “ring ring, beep beep, aha” but I personally think the whole thing is just genius; my favourite from them by far.

I would love to go see The Hoosiers live.. they are just amazing and funny people! They did do a low-key kind of gig quite local to me, but by the time I had heard about it, the tickets were all gone :/
