Bully: Scholarship Edition

Ever since I got my Wii at Christmas, I’ve been determined to have fun with it. One of the reasons the novelty of my PS2 wore off was that it just wasn’t enough fun. Eventually, I got bored. With my Wii, however, I have not once been bored with it.
One of the first things I did on my Wii was make my Mii, and you can see MiiRachael over on the right. It’s almost like looking in the mirror, except I have better proportions in real life.
Over the past few months I’ve bought some new games for my Wii, the newest being Bully: Scholarship Edition. The trailer for the game makes it look quite violent and at first I was a bit unsure about the game, but after having played it for a little while I have completely changed my mind.
The game centres around the character of Jimmy who is the new kid in a boarding school. He has a past reputation of being a bully and thus some of the students at the new school have it in for him. It’s all rather fascinating.
One of the things that shocked me with this game was just how easy it was to be violent. It’s quite a ‘free’ game in that you’re free to roam around the school grounds and interact with other students. The nunchuck and the wiimote are both used in this game, and as such, you can literally walk up to anyone and punch them in the face. I’m not a violent person, and I don’t like violent games, so that was a bit shocking for me to experience. However, if you punch people it’ll get you in trouble. Punch enough people and the school prefects will come and lynch you.
I’m now on a mission to make Jimmy be a reformed bully. From now on he’s going to be nice and not get in trouble. He’ll defend himself, yes, but he won’t go looking for fights. Well, unless I’m bored and need to release some stress, but that’s just horrible. Violence is wrong. Don’t hit people.

Yeah, I figured that game would be pretty violent, considering it’s developed by Rockstar Games — the same people who brought us Grand Theft Auto. [/ends gamer moment]
I stopped being a “gamer” since the Super Nintendo (exactly…); however, my brother is an avid Nintendo fan and has all the consoles =D His current obsession is Super Smash Brawl and it’s pretty awesome. As for me, I’ve always loved the Zelda franchise — so I’m having some fun with the Wii as well. =P
MiiRachael is really cute! I love the small feet and the short legs! 
I played that game before, only on PS2. What fun it must be playing it with the wiimote! And, a really good anger management technique!
I want a Wii so bad, I am also bored of my PS2. That game sounds quite fun, actually. Heh.

While you seem to have used the game in a good way, from the sound of it, I’m not too sure I agree with the concept. :/ It could very easily be played “the wrong way”.
I’ve made a crazy amount of Miis, including several that look like me. Conceited much?
My friend made the entire set of Mii for Harry Potter characters! My dad made a set for our family and they look so like us it’s scary.
LOL, reforming Jimmy into a nice person is an auto-kill to the point of the game.
lmao! I want that game now, just so I can go around beating people up. I grew up playing GTA so violence in video games presents no problems. If anything I’m overdue for a good virtual maiming.

Awf, I want Bully for the Wii. I’ve played it on my friend’s PS2 but I imagine the Wii would put you in the moment, having to flail about… I love going into the town, I think that’s funner than the school!
My Mii is nothing like me. Honest, there’s nothing there that looks remotely like any part of me. Pfft, game developers.

lololol, that’s adorable. I don’t really like violent games either.. but oh can they be addictive.. i went through this whole Grand theft Auto phase ~_~
