Being ill sucks

I have a headache, a sore throat, and a runny nose. It started yesterday and I’ve been to the doctor - apparently it’s just a “virus” and it will go away over the next few days.

Unfortunately, I’m busy for the next few days and being ill is the last thing I need! I’m going down to London to stay with a friend, watch the new Johnny Depp film, and see two thirds of Simple Plan’s “Tour of Camden.” I’ll be in a busy city (I’m used to the countryside) with loads of people, loads of traffic exhaust fumes, and loads of noise!

Gah! Why can’t I be ill another time, like next weekend? Unanticipated illnesses suck.

We’ve all (literally, all 5 of us) been ill for the past two days and some people when ill are so annoying. If my dad begs for sympathy — or anybody, when they’re ill — one more time, I’m going to shove some paracetamol and ibuprofen in their face and tell them to, “deal with it”.

:P

I have a failing immune system, you see, which might explain for the lack of sympathy.

Get well soon Rachael! I hope it goes away before you do those things. All illnesses aside I hope you have a fantastic time in London!

Headache - drink lots of water if you’re already not.

Sore throat - hot water, honey, lemon and a bit of ginger (ginger is optional). Not a remedy but it apparently makes people feel better. Maybe you should buy some Benylin, it worked with my mum and sister.

Awww, poor sicky. *pets* It’ll be okay! If you’re busy, your body might forget it is sick!

Get lots of Vitamin C (like you don’t drink enough orange juice already…) and stay very hydrated!

Also, your title made me giggle, and think “Really, Rachaely? Couldn’t come up with something a little less ‘duh?’”

Get better soon! *cuddles*

In the mean time vitamin C may be the key to speeding up the getting well process.

I’m sick too and I think it sucks ROYALLY. We’ve both got just about the same things, minus the headache for me. I tend to sleep more in class though =\

You go to the doctor for ‘headache, a sore throat, and a runny nose’ - if I did I’d be there every other day!

Hope you have a nice weekend, and a fun time in London!

I suggest taking Actifed which is a really good cold tablet, I take it in the morning and I’m fine for the rest of the day. I also suggest Vicks Sinex Soother which is a nasal spray and allows you to breath! Hope you’re feeling better soon.
